Best 9mm Suppressors That Grow With You

If 9mm is most of what you shoot, the Dead Air RXD910Ti is the one: its tighter bore makes it quieter on 9mm than a .45 can, and it still runs 10mm. Want one can for every pistol, .45 included? HUXWRX Flow 45M. Short and cheap? Omega 45K. Every can here is bigger than a 9mm-only can, so it trades a little quiet for room to grow.

Top picks

  1. Best overall for 9mm1. Dead Air RXD910Ti$929
  2. Best one-can-for-everything2. HUXWRX Flow 45M$708
  3. Best short can3. SilencerCo Omega 45K$636

Why buy bigger than 9mm

  • A 9mm-only can (.36 bore) is the quietest and lightest on 9mm, but it can never go on a .40, 10mm or .45.
  • A .40 or .45 can runs 9mm safely and covers bigger calibers later. You give up a little quiet on 9mm in return.
  • 9mm 147 gr ammo is subsonic out of most pistols, so suppressed 9mm with 147s is about as quiet as centerfire gets. 115 and 124 gr loads usually still crack.
  • Most pistols use 1/2x28 thread. SIG, HK and CZ often use M13.5x1 left-hand, so buy the booster piston for your thread.

How to pick

Pistol or PCC
Pistols with a tilting barrel need a booster piston to cycle. A PCC is fixed-barrel, so it runs direct-thread or a fixed spacer.
Carry or range
On a carry pistol, length and weight matter most. Look at the Omega 45K or a can with a short mode.
Ammo
Shoot 147 gr subsonic for the quietest result. Hotter loads still crack downrange.
Sights
Most cans block your iron sights. Add suppressor-height sights or run a red dot co-witnessed with tall sights.

Questions

Is a 9mm-only suppressor quieter?

A little. Its smaller bore holds gas better. A .40 or .45 can gives up some quiet on 9mm but runs bigger calibers too.

What thread is my 9mm barrel?

Usually 1/2x28 on Glock, Smith & Wesson and most PCCs. SIG, HK and CZ often use M13.5x1 left-hand. Check your barrel before buying a piston.

What ammo is quietest suppressed?

147 gr 9mm. It’s subsonic out of most pistols, so there’s no crack downrange.

Do I still pay a $200 tax stamp?

No. The federal NFA tax on suppressors has been $0 since January 1, 2026. As of October 9, 2026, ATF doesn’t enforce Form 4 approval for suppressors, so a dealer sale runs on the normal Form 4473 and background check. State law still applies.

Can I buy one through Native Industries?

We don’t sell suppressors ourselves. We show you where to buy, online or from a licensed dealer near you, and the dealer handles the sale and the background check.
