The Range, in Glen Rose

Glen Rose, Texas · on the hill country

Our flagship destination is on the way. More than a range — a place to lean on the counter, spend the afternoon, and bring the whole crew. Two buildings on one piece of hill country: a family-friendly general store and cafe with archery, air-gun, and airsoft, and a gun shop and range with advanced training upstairs and a glass-walled secure core where the lab, machining, and gunsmithing happen in full view. Here's what we're building.

The property · two buildings

The campus is two buildings on one piece of Texas hill country. One is the general store and cafe — gift and drug store, classrooms, the bow bar and archery range, air-gun range, and airsoft course, all family-friendly and none of it under the NFA. The other is the gun shop and range, with advanced training upstairs and a glass-walled secure core — a building inside the building — where the lab, machining, and gunsmithing happen in full view.

The Gun Shop & Range

Range · retail · training

Everything centers on the build.

The NFA side. This is where every ATF-regulated item lives — suppressors, SBRs, and Class III — alongside the covered outdoor range and advanced training in the upstairs classrooms and board room. At its center sits a glass-walled secure core — a building inside the building — where you can watch the lab, the machining, and the gunsmithing happen.

  • NFA shop & transfers

    Suppressors, SBRs & Class III

  • Covered outdoor range

    Roofed line behind soundproof glass

  • Advanced training

    Classrooms upstairs

A building inside the building

Secure core

A secure, keycard-controlled structure at the heart of the range — sealed for access, but open to view. Watch the working shop through the glass without ever setting foot inside.

  • The Lab

    R&D, suppressor & accuracy work

  • Machining

    Barrel & precision machine shop

  • Gunsmithing

Ground floor

The covered outdoor range

A covered open-air firing line behind a full-height soundproof glass curtain wall — roofed lanes that keep shooters out of the weather, no true-indoor cost.

  • Covered outdoor line
  • Soundproof glass wall
  • Turf zone 0–300 yd
  • Grass zone to 1,200 yd

Walk the pro shop

The front of the building is a full pro shop — Native Arms and Sandhill Arms house guns, dealer-network inventory, rifles, shotguns and pistols in the cases, and Native Outdoors gear and apparel on the floor. NFA items live over at the gun shop and range.

Handle it at the counter, rent it, or build it at the bench — then take it straight out to the line behind the same building.

Watch your next rifle get built

Off the back of the pro shop is the working shop floor — barrel machining, suppressor assembly, stock work, the gun build room, Cerakote, QC, and R&D. All of it at grade and visible through glass from the retail floor.

Everything gets validated on the same line customers can walk onto. That's what “tested at The Range” actually means.

Two ways to shoot the line

Premium private bays

Topgolf-style bays for a party of 2–6, bookable by the hour — seating, table, F&B service, and screens with a live target-camera feed. Corporate events, birthdays, and families.

Stadium bench bays

A shared firing line with tiered bench seating for spectators, next-up shooters, and classes. Range-master supervised, walk-up or membership-based.

A camera at every target streams live to the bay screen, with auto-switching paper and steel — no cold-range walks, no hold-fires, real-time hit feedback.

The one thing upstairs

Sit and watch, without the noise

The building is a single story except for one deck. Up a short flight of stairs, the classroom and observation lounge look out over the range through a full-height soundproof glass wall.

Families, spouses, kids, and press can sit with a coffee and watch the shooting in comfort — no ear pro, no muzzle blast, just the view downrange.

  • Soundproof glass
  • Range-view lounge
  • Classroom
  • Coffee & F&B

Turf to 300. Grass to 1,200.

An all-weather turf zone for zeroing and load development, then real wind, mirage, and terrain out to twelve hundred — the Native Arms proving ground.

Built for 3-Gun

Rifle, pistol & shotgun, one run

Two dedicated 3-Gun courses, each reconfigurable into two stage layouts — barricades, ports, steel at varied distance, and shotgun arrays. Run it on league nights, match days, or a supervised walk-through with a range master.

It sits alongside pistol bays, AR/carbine lanes, and the long line — so you can train every gun in the safe without leaving the property.

Every discipline on the property
