Best 10mm Suppressors, Ranked

For most people the HUXWRX Flow 45M is the one: lightest full-size 10mm can, named 10mm rating, and way less gas in your face. Want to take it apart and clean it? Banish 45. Want short and cheap? Omega 45K. One rule before anything else: 10mm needs a .45-bore (or 10mm-specific) can. Never a 9mm can.

Why a 9mm can won’t work on 10mm

  • A 10mm bullet is .400 in across. A 9mm can’s bore is about .355 in. The bullet is wider than the hole, which means a baffle strike that can wreck the can and hurt you.
  • Use a can its maker rates for 10mm. Bore size alone isn’t enough. The insides have to handle 10mm pressure too.
  • Most 10mm is still supersonic. The can tames the muzzle blast, but you’ll still hear the crack downrange unless you shoot heavy subsonic loads (200–220 gr, under about 1,050 fps).
  • A .45 can also runs 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP. One can usually covers every pistol you own.

How to pick

Your host
Glocks and 1911s have tilting barrels and need a booster piston so the gun cycles. Fixed-barrel 10mm carbines run direct-thread or a fixed spacer.
Weight
Every ounce hangs off the muzzle. On a carry or hunting Glock 20, start with the lightest can you can afford.
Cleaning
Pistol rounds get cans dirty fast. Take-apart cans (Banish, Rugged) are easier to keep up with. Sealed cans trade that for toughness.
One can for a rifle too
If the same can needs to go on a rifle, step up to a .46 big-bore like the Hybrid 46M or Banish 46-V2.

Questions

Can I use a 9mm suppressor on 10mm?

No. The 10mm bullet (.400 in) is wider than a 9mm can’s bore (about .355 in). Use only a can its maker rates for 10mm.

What size suppressor do I need for 10mm?

A .45-bore can, a 10mm-specific can like the Dead Air RXD910Ti, or a .46 big-bore. All of them clear the .400 in bullet.

Is 10mm quiet with a suppressor?

It’s hearing-safe, but most 10mm loads are supersonic, so the bullet still cracks. Heavy subsonic loads get rid of the crack.

Do I still pay a $200 tax stamp?

No. The federal NFA tax on suppressors has been $0 since January 1, 2026. As of October 9, 2026, ATF doesn’t enforce Form 4 approval for suppressors, so a dealer sale runs on the normal Form 4473 and background check. State law still applies.

Can I buy one through Native Industries?

We don’t sell suppressors ourselves. We show you where to buy, online or from a licensed dealer near you, and the dealer handles the sale and the background check.

Do I need anything else to run a can on my Glock 20?

A threaded barrel, a booster piston for that thread (unless the can ships with one) and suppressor-height sights so you can see over the can.
