Which dot fits my slide?

Every dot screws on with a footprint. Pick your pistol and see which ones drop right on.

Dots for the Glock 17 / 19 / 45 MOS

Glock ships MOS plates for these. ACRO and RMSc need an aftermarket plate.

Fits with the factory plate

Use the plate made for this footprint.

  • Trijicon RMR footprint

Trijicon RMR Type 2, Trijicon SRO, Holosun 507C X2, Holosun 508T, Holosun EPS

The most common full-size footprint. Most aftermarket slides are cut for it.

  • DeltaPoint Pro footprint

    Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, SIG Romeo1Pro

Leupold’s footprint. SIG uses it for the Romeo1Pro and the P320 optic cut.

  • Docter / Noblex footprint

Burris FastFire 3, Vortex Venom, Docter Sight C

An older, wider-used footprint on budget dots.

Needs an aftermarket plate

Fits, but buy a plate from a plate maker.

  • Shield RMSc footprint

Shield RMSc, Holosun 507K X2, Holosun EPS Carry, Swampfox Sentinel II

The slim carry footprint. Made for single-stack and micro-compact slides.

  • Aimpoint ACRO footprint

    Aimpoint ACRO P-2, Steiner MPS

Enclosed emitter. Tough, but almost always needs its own plate.

Mounting it right

  • Use the screws that came with your plate or dot. Too long and they can hit the firing pin channel.
  • Clean the threads, add a drop of blue thread locker and torque to the optic maker’s spec.
  • Witness-mark the screw heads so you can see if one backs out.
  • If you shoot suppressed, check that you can see the dot over the can.

Slide cuts change between model years. Check your slide’s markings or the maker’s spec before you buy. No optic or gun maker pays us.
